Marko Saaresto is the founding member of Poets of the Fall. He is arguably one of the most underrated singers of this century. I am pretty sure most of you might not even have heard of him before. Born in Helsinki, Finland, Marko Saaresto always had an affection towards music since his childhood.
He has not only a beautiful and God-gifted voice but also a brilliant piece of mind. He started writing his songs when he was in his teenage years. Twilight’s theatre album’s “Change” was written by Marko in 1990.
Due to his unjustified not so popular fame, there is not much content on the topic of Marko Saaresto wiki. But don’t worry we’ll introduce this master of vocal ranges to you.
His zodiac sign is Sagittarius because of his birth date 5th December 1970. There is not much known about his education. Marko Saaresto’s spouse is yet to be announced. He is single for now (As it seems). In an interview, he declared that he has been to 15 different countries with Poets of the fall. He doesn’t have any actively running Instagram, Twitter or Facebook Page right now.
Early Career – Marko Saaresto
Saaresto was initially a part and founding member of the “Playground” band. He wrote a few songs for this band. Due to some unfortunate reasons, the songs could not convince a label to distribute them.
In 2002, Marko’s best friend Sam Lake (who is a writer of famous Max Payne 2) came to him with an offer to write a theme song for its upcoming game. Marko agreed to him and this was one of the best decisions of his life.
Sam lake provided a poem and asked him to modify it to make a wonderful song for the game. Saaresto did it with his prior band member “Tukiainen” and named it as “Late GoodBye”. This song became the major reason for his boosted fame.
After that, Marko and Markus “Captain” Kaarlonen decided to launch a brand new band and named it “Poets of the Fall”. After some time, they launched another masterpiece “Lift” which got worldwide fame. They released “Signs of Life” which gained a huge success commercially and even got the best reviews from the critics.
Marko has made some serious music along with his friend guitarist Olli tukiainen.
Carnival of Rust – Marko’s Best Yet
Although there is no lack of marvelous songs from this singer, there is no comparison of “Carnival of Rust” with any of his songs yet. When this single came, it just broke all of the POTF previous records with a smash.
They further released an album having the same name which got nominated for many awards. It didn’t take a long time to climb this album to the top of the music charts in Finland. According to Musiikki-TV, it is the best music video in the history of Finland because of its unique and new idea. The poets of the fall then continued to make songs that you can enjoy either as an individual with friends or family.
Marko Saaresto – The Man with a Unique Voice
Either if you listen to “Drama for Life” or “Daze”, he will always have amazing surprises for you in the form of his lovely voice. You will always feel his voice as new and fresh. His songs are just perfect in every note. He has a baritone and reaches to falsetto in no time.
Very few English singers have such a great vocal range like Marko has. It will not be a wrong statement to deliver that his voice ranges perfectly for each of his songs accordingly.
Talking about his acting skills, he is not only a good singer but also a brilliant actor and has acted in many of the Poets of the Fall music videos. His facial expressions are unmatchable to any of this era’s actors. He always appears in a distinctive and idiosyncratic look. In some characters that you will get bored of watching. As of 2019, Marko’s net worth has increased to $6,559,531.
In the end, I will surely recommend you to listen to his voice at least one time so that you do not miss this gem of the Finnish music industry.
